CATERING SALES MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown was awarded as one of the Top Work Places to work by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette in 2011. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh's business center between the U.S. Steel Tower and the Consul Energy Center. We have 333 totally renovated guestrooms and suites. The banquet and meeting space has also been renovated offering over 9000 sq. ft. of flexible space. The Bigelow Grille has been awarded 4 stars by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

We are looking for a Catering Sales Manager that is energetic, wears a smile on their face, has a positive attitude and can help us keep the Doubletree Brand Promise of providing the special comforts and acts of kindness that make the traveler feel human again.

Our goal is to provide our guests with a seamless, efficient and extraordinary experience. The catering sales manager's focus will be on weddings, but not limited to, and will be responsible for detailing groups and working with local corporate and social clients to meet and exceed revenues and profit goals. Reports to the Director of Catering.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to work all shifts. Evenings and weekends required. Catering and Sales experience preferred. College degree preferred. Hotel and operations experience a plus Self-starter possessing excellent interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and goal driven. Usage of arithmetic and operation of a calculator. Carry out specific oral and written instructions. Stand and sit for varying lengths of time. Converse with a variety of clientele to ensure guests satisfaction. Operate computer (Microsoft Office and Delphi software a plus) and laser printer. Frequent walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, smiling. Lifting objects weighing up to ten (10) pounds.
